    What is Manulife Vitality?

    Manulife Vitality is a wellness program attached to a Manulife life insurance policy. You earn points for everyday healthy activity such as walking, workouts, sleep and an annual health review. Points set your status (Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum), and with Vitality Plus your status lowers your premium and unlocks rewards such as an Apple Watch SE 3 for $0, Expedia and adidas discounts and a free annual health screening.

    How much can Vitality save on my life insurance premium?

    With Vitality Plus you get 10% off your premium in year one. From year two the discount follows your status: Silver 2%, Gold 10%, Platinum 15%, compared with the same Manulife policy without Vitality Plus. Bronze keeps the standard premium.

    I am new to Canada on a work permit. Can I get life insurance?

    Often, yes. Manulife has a newcomer program for people who have lived in Canada for six months or more and have applied for permanent residence. Skilled workers accepted into a Provincial Nominee Program with a valid work permit can apply for up to $2,000,000 of life insurance, and post-graduate work permit holders for up to $1,000,000. A short nurse visit with a blood test is part of the application. Evan handles newcomer applications regularly and can tell you in one call whether you qualify.

    Do I need an Apple Watch to use Vitality?

    No. Vitality syncs with Apple Watch, Fitbit, Garmin, Oura Ring and WHOOP, and you can also log activity in the Manulife Vitality app. The Apple Watch SE 3 benefit itself requires an iPhone 11 or newer running iOS 26 or later.

    What does Vitality Plus cost?

    Vitality Plus adds a small monthly fee to your Manulife policy; Vitality Go is free with basic rewards and no premium savings. Evan quotes the exact fee and the net premium for your age and coverage before your call, so you see the full picture.
